To improve the indoor air environment and passengers’ comfort level in Hong Kong International Airport, the Airport Authority Hong Kong initiated the enhancement works on the existing MVAC systems serving 11 Fixed Link Bridges (FLBs) and 99 Aircraft Loading Bridges (ALBs) at the Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1.

To avoid disruptions to the terminal operation, meticulous planning of work sequences was the key of the successful delivery of this project.   




Scope of works

Supply, installation, Testing & Commissioning (T&C) of the following systems without disruption of the existing terminal operation:

  • General Air Conditioning (AC) and Mechanical Ventilation (MV) enhancement works at 11  Fixed Link Bridges (FLBs)
  • Ductwork extension 
  • Modification works of air supply grille at 99 Aircraft Loading Bridges (ALBs)
  • Remote control system of 99 sets of  pre-conditioned air units
