Air-conditioning upgrade at Sha Tin Racecourse

A major portion of this contract covers the air-conditioning infrastructure upgrade at Sha Tin Racecourse, and the bulk of supporting works for trades, 

This fast-track project involved numerous system interfacing works, works sequencing, and coordination efforts to avoid any disruptions to the operating racecourse.




Scope of works

Supply, delivery, decommissioning, dismantle replacement and installation of chiller plant and associated Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) services:

Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV)

  • Water-cooled chillers – 4,000 tonnes of Refrigeration (TR)
  • Condenser & chilled water pumps
  • Cooling towers

Electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) system

  • Low Voltage (LV) switchboards
  • Motor Control Centres
  • Building Management System (BMS)

Fire Services (FS)

  • Automatic Fire Alarm system
  • Diversion and modification of the existing wet fire fighting system

Plumbing & Drainage (P&D)

  • Water tank
  • Drain pipe system

Structural works & Architectural Builders Works and Finishes (ABWF)
